Full Moon Sushi has been part of my heart since I tried them more than 10yrs ago at their Fountain Valley location.
I followed them to Costa Mesa as well.
Now they are here in San Clemente!!!
Whats the best thing I love about Full Moon Sushi? Fresh, friendly, consistent, and most of all the price is so wallet friendly!!!
I love their lunch special combos that they offer that is less than 10bucks, which would include a roll, salad, beef/chicken or tempura, and miso soup.
My favorite roll is the Full Moon Sushi special. Its rice free and deep fried! Yaaaas!!!!
My go to appetizer is their calamari! $3.50! Its soft and perfectly cooked!
I also like their El Jalapeno which is basically a deep fried stuffed jalepeno with amazing filling!
Although you wont get super fancy sushi here, this is your go to casual place thats fun, friendly, and a great place to have lunch or dinner with friends. -

My husband and I have been on a quest to find a local sushi restaurant as our favorite spot is 40 minutes away (Costa Mesa). And I think after 100+ places, we've found it!
I will say that, for the price, the quality isn't bad! Sure, they don't really have anything out of the ordinary, but they do a fine job -- at the sushi bar, at least -- with preparing nigiri that doesn't fall apart. The sushi is smaller portioned, but the rice is GOOD. Honestly, out of all of the affordable sushi places we've been to (and we've been to A LOT), this place has the best rice for the bill.
I would recommend sitting at the bar. I just feel that when you sit in front of the chefs, they're less likely to mess up the order or really you get to actually see them at work.
I can happily say that we've finally found our weekly sushi place to hold us over! -

This place is cheap! But if your looking for good service, clean environment, and if you have any allergy's to food then stay away from this place. Sushi quality I would say is average. If your on a budget with no expectations then I highly recommend this place. I personally will stick to Gen Kai and 9 style sushi.

Enjoyed a night out with the wife. We were seated quickly and our drink orders were taken right away. We had five rolls, which were all good. Caterpillar roll seemed a little small. Rolls came to the table before our salad and miso soup, which the server apologized for- not a big deal. Still delicious.
